October 2009: New Zealand Forests project was initiated.

July 2010: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s first contractor digging team was set up.

November 2010: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s second contractor digging team was set up.

December 2010: New Zealand Forests Ltd moved to 996 Great South Road, Penrose, Auckland.

January 2011: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s third contractor digging team was set up.

January 2011: New Zealand Forests Ltd explored the Kemp site near Kaitaia.

February 2011: Kumeu Kilns Ltd joined New Zealand Forests Ltd’s company group.

August 2011: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s fourth digging team was set up.

September 2011: Matt Tanui joined New Zealand Forests Ltd. to liase with local iwi.

October 2011: Awheto project was initiated.

October 2011: New Zealand Forests Ltd started negotiations with Ngai Takoto and Te Rerewa for the development of Sweetwater Farms.

November 2011: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s Kaitaia storage yard was set up.

December 2011: Eru Thompson joined New Zealand Forests Ltd. He also went to the opening ceremony of the Pa Ariki Palace in the Cook Islands on behalf of the company.

December 2011: Ngai Takoto and New Zealand Forests Ltd agreed on a common development strategy for Sweetwater Farms.

January 2012: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s native timber project was initiated.

February 2012: Dan Henderson, Victor Waitai and Henry Hobson joined New Zealand Forests Ltd. The company’s own digging team was set up.

March 2012: Te Rerewa was committed to New Zealand Forests Ltd for swamp kauri extraction on Sweetwater Farms (Te Rerewa area).

March 2012: New Zealand Forests Ltd’s China office was set up in Hangzhou, China. Michael Meng and Sally Xu joined the company.

April 2012: Chris Murray joined New Zealand Forests Ltd. The company’s second digging team was set up.

April 2012: New Zealand Forests Ltd initiated the New Zealand – China state gift project.

June 2012: Cooper Furniture Ltd joined New Zealand Forests Ltd’s company group.

August 2012: New Zealand Forests Ltd started salvaging at the Katikati Rata site.

September 2012: Nuka Wood joined New Zealand Forests Ltd. The company started salvaging at the Pahirarahi native timber site in October 2012.

September 2012: A memorandum was signed between New Zealand Forests Ltd and Te Runanga o ngati kea ngati Tuara to develop an Awheto propagation trial.

February 2013: New Zealand Forests Ltd started to discuss with Ngai Tahu to initiate the greenstone (pounamu) project.

April 2013: The state gift Kiwi Panda Ball that was donated by New Zealand Forests Ltd was presented to Mr Xi Jingping the President of China by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
